A painted mews house with hanging baskets, in careful detail
Mews House, framed canvas
A mews is a small cobbled lane of houses, often built as stables and turned into homes. This one is lined with painted fronts in cream, sage and pink. The house at the front has a teal arched door, an arched window beside it, and a stone wall to one side hung with baskets of pink and purple flowers on iron brackets. Wisteria climbs the wall, window boxes overflow, and a pale blue bicycle with a wicker basket and a brown saddlebag leans by the door. Pots of hydrangeas and roses line the cobbles.
The illustration is neat and detailed, with soft light and gentle colour: teal, cream, sage and pink against warm grey cobbles. It suits city dwellers, cyclists, and anyone who has a soft spot for a pretty lane tucked away from a busy road. Hang it in a hallway, a kitchen or a bedroom.
The tall picture shows the window above and plenty of cobbles below. On the framed canvas, wood and metal print the crop centres on the teal door, the baskets and the bicycle. You can also have your own house illustrated from a photo.

What should I know about the cushion, jigsaw and bauble?
The cushion is printed on the front only and filled with fibre. The jigsaw comes in a metal tin with the picture on the lid. The puzzle is landscape, so the picture is trimmed to that shape. The photo shows the part every size keeps; some sizes keep a little more at the edges. The bauble is ceramic, made to hang on the tree.
